Welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit Snowdrop Music which is the home of singer/songwriter Julie Hall and her collaboration with Robert Eggleston, poet and lyricist.

With roots based in the folk/acoustic tradition, Julie Hall is a trained violinist and singer whose first album "Bluebells Rising" was released in 2004. This received excellent reviews in the music press and gained nominations for the BBC sponsored GEM awards in two categories; Best female artist and best single, for "Even an Angel." A second album "Days of Wine" was released in 2006, and the latest, "Balcombe Bridge" was released in March 2009.

An experienced performer, Julie studied voice and violin at the Royal Northern College of Music. Julie is a versatile performer ranging from performing and leading worship nationally and internationally to sharing the stage with some of Britain's leading acoustic artists, including Martin Carthy, Norma Waterson and Eliza Carthy.

On stage Julie accompanies herself on guitar and keyboard & usually includes some fiddle playing. At other times she is supported by her band comprising of guitar, woodwind and cello.

She is able to provide a set of up to an hour and a half, or the ministry for services, outreach events or retreat days. She is prepared travel to venues, and does not charge a specific fee. As a minimum travel expenses and the opportunity to make her CDs for sale, while any further gift will depend on the circumstances of the host and the event.

Snowdropmusic supports Fairtrade, believing poverty can be fought through trade. It also supports Stop the Traffik, an organisation seeking to end People Trafficking and Freeset and organization that takes women off the streets in India and gives them dignity.
